What we see where
The work changes a lot across the patch. Coastal properties in Southport, Formby, New Brighton and West Kirby take salt-laden wind and weather far harder than anything inland, and north-facing elevations there never really dry out.
The older brick and sandstone stock around Liverpool, Woolton and Birkenhead needs treating very differently from the rendered and pebbledashed semis across Maghull, Aintree and Huyton. Sandstone in particular is soft and unforgiving of the wrong cleaning method.
Newer estates out towards Skelmersdale, Burscough and Ormskirk tend to be concrete-tiled, and concrete tiles are exactly what moss likes.
