Who we are
Stay Dry Coatings is a trading style of Acorn Plastics Ltd (company number 16140900), registered at 54 St James Street, Liverpool, L1 0AB. Acorn Plastics Ltd is the data controller for the information described here. Contact us at info@acornplastics.co.uk or 0151 440 3603.
What we collect
When you complete an enquiry form we collect your name, telephone number, email address, property address and postcode, the service you're interested in, details of the work, any photographs you upload, your preferred callback time and how you heard about us. If you call or message us we keep a record of that contact.
We also collect basic technical information about your visit to this website, such as pages viewed and approximate location, through analytics. See our cookie policy.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To respond to your enquiry, arrange a survey and provide a quotation. Lawful basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract.
- To carry out and manage work you've booked. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
- To meet legal obligations such as accounting and consumer contract records. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
- To improve our service and website. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests, balanced against your rights.
We do not sell your information, and we don't use it for marketing unless you've separately agreed to that.
Photographs
Photographs you upload are used to assess the work and prepare a quotation. We will not publish photographs of your property, or use them in marketing, without asking you first.
Who sees it
Your information is seen by the people at Stay Dry Coatings and Acorn Home who need it to handle your enquiry and carry out the work. We also use service providers who process data on our behalf — website and form hosting, email delivery, and our enquiry management system. Where relevant to a guarantee, details of the products applied to your property may be shared with the manufacturer, ProPERLA UK Ltd.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't proceed to work: up to 24 months from your last contact with us. Records relating to completed work, including guarantee documentation: for the duration of any applicable guarantee plus six years, to meet accounting and legal obligations. After that it's deleted.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to ask us to delete it, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to data portability where it applies. Email info@acornplastics.co.uk and we'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Security
Enquiry data is held in access-controlled systems, and only people who need it can see it. This website is served over an encrypted connection.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page.
