Clean block paving driveway after restoration
Block paving after cleaning and sealing

Cleaned back properly, re-sanded where it needs it, then sealed so the stains, weeds and green come back a lot slower. The seal is clear and non-slip — it doesn't leave that plastic-looking sheen.

What's involved

How we do it.

Pressure and rotary cleaning

Surface-washer cleaning for an even finish rather than the stripey mess a lance leaves.

Weeds, moss and algae

Removed from the surface and the joints.

Stain treatment

Targeted treatment of oil, rust and organic staining where it's treatable — we'll be honest at the survey about what won't come out.

Jointing

Loose jointing material removed and block paving re-sanded.

Minor repairs

Sunken blocks lifted and relaid, localised pointing where needed.

Sealing

Paving Impregnator applied once the surface is clean and properly dry.

Suitable for

  • Block paving that's gone green or lost its colour
  • Patios and flags that stain easily
  • Concrete drives
  • Anywhere frost damage is starting to show

Not suitable for

  • Surfaces that need relaying rather than cleaning
  • Tarmac and resin-bound drives
  • Anything that won't be dry long enough to seal — timing matters

If yours falls in the second column we'll tell you at the survey rather than take the job. It's the cheapest thing we do for you.

Questions

Asked before you ask.

Will it be slippery afterwards?

No. It's an impregnating treatment that soaks in rather than a film that sits on top, so the surface texture and grip stay as they are.

Can you just clean it without sealing?

Yes, plenty of people do. We'll tell you what sealing would add and then it's your call — no pressure either way.

Do you re-sand block paving?

Yes, where it's needed. Cleaning inevitably takes some jointing sand out, and leaving it out is how blocks start to move.
